Travel Day
Really nothing much to say. It took us 14 hours, door to door, to get from Porto to our Rome apartment, Thanks to flight delays in both Porto and Lisbon we were very late. Oh well–that’s how it goes.
We used RomeCabs to go from the airport to the apartment and we were so glad to see the driver waiting for us. Poala was so charming, stylish and Roman. She did a quick orientation of this slightly funky but totally workable apartment in the Monti neighborhood of Rome.
Also they finally named our new granddaughter: Juniper Frances Keshen. I think she will be called “Juni.” It’s so amazing that while we are waiting for a flight in Lisbon we are texting with Josh and Kathryn! Technology!
Luckily here at 2 photos I forgot to include yesterday. First off: the last favorite tile of the day:
And then Ken, happy behind the glasses of port wine:
Juni it is! Cute. Glad you and Ken are back in your beloved Italia. I’m thinking of taking beginning Italian. Any suggestions for a teacher? I could try Babel or Rosetta Stone, or just talk to you. Have a great Roman holiday. 🙂
Congratulations on the newest addition to your family. I know she is beautiful . I look forward to your time in Rome. Be safe and enjoy. Love the pic of Ken and the wine glasses!
Hi
How nice to hear your voice, and know we’re practically neighbours! Congratulations on the new arrival, you must be a tad excited about that.
See you soon.
What street are you on? I’m on Via Ariosto.

Juni! What an adorable nickname!
I remember when the traveling was part of the fun of the trip. Sounds as though it all turned out well; you are good travelers. You do not let the hiccups ruin your day. As always fun to travel with you. Nice to be back in ?Italy.
