Rain
Lots of Rain
The forecast looked grim and it does for the duration of our Rome stay. I was happy to just stay in and relax for the day. We did go out for a short walk and grabbed some sandwiches at a place nearby, but they were nothing special. It was called “Pepy’s” and I thought I should know better than to go into a place with an English name. No big deal.
Here are a few photos that haven’t fit into the blog yet:
This is a very new, permanent installation and, from what I’ve read, the first contemporary public art in Rome. In front of Fendi and called Leaves of Stone it shows pieces of classic architecture in the bronze trees. Read more about it here: https://whitewall.art/art/fendi-installs-permanent-giuseppe-penone-sculpture-rome
And finally just what you’ve been waiting for…me in my new Italian apron:
We are arriving in rome this Sunday. Any idea of how the weather looks for next week?
I LOVE it!!!
Yayyy the apron is worth the wait! Perfetto
Thanks for bringing everyone along on your adventures.
Love that apron!
I am just catching up 😳, so I am screen saving your days and will read this weekend. So far behind, but I will catch up. Let me take this opportunity now to say that Rob told me you both came down with Covid and I hope you’re feeling better today, I think this is day three or four. Please stay safe, I’m so sorry this happened to both of you and it has disturbed the progress of your trip. But, make lemoncello out of those out of those lemons
