No luck
I did a Covid test and was still positive. The second line was very faint so maybe that means I am almost done. I’m not sure if that’s at all true but I am letting myself think it.
I found a spot I really love, sitting in this chair, in the bedroom, reading:
I was on my computer so much today that I had a message from Google asking if I’m a robot! I have never had that before. I started watching Julia on HBO max and enjoyed it. I’ve also been watching After Life, with Ricky Gervais, on Netflix. It’s a poignant comedy/drama which Ken encouraged me to try. I’m glad I did. He is so not the Ricky Gervais I expected.
We took a short walk through town in the early afternoon. Here’s Ken going into the door of our lovely building:
Really working on patience and coping skills and not feeling sorry for ourselves.
Thinking of all the €€€ we’re saving by not going to restaurants or renting the car.
I made us a nice dinner of Paccheri (big rigatoni) and an Amatriciana sauce and some roasted zucchini and peppers–with some more of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine.
Here’s another roof shot:
Thanks for hanging in here with us.
Hope the faint line bodes good things. When Alan got a faint lune, he declared himself well and went to the grocery. Next test he was negative. Fingers crossed for you.
“Declared himself well and went to the grocery”? How fortunate that the next test was negative. If not, oh well for the people who have had no choice but to work in grocery store jobs throughout this pandemic. The inability of people to make sacrifices and do what is right, even if difficult, is why this virus will be with us longer than it needs to be. It’s smarter than we are.
I really enjoy this blog. I too love Italy and miss my annual trips there. But this blogger’s experience has confirmed that this pandemic is not over and doing what we love poses risks to us. And others.
You are coping extremely well, and making the best of a disappointing situation…….but at least it’s temporary. Patience is a gift, and something which can be cultivated and even enjoyed. Fingers crossed the line disappears completely with your next test! and thankful that you’re not feeling poorly
Good going! Those faint lines just mean positive, not how bad things are. But you’ve got this and are doing all the right things. Thanks for keeping up the posts.
I’m glad you are making the most of your quiet time. I like your little corner with your chair and view and sun. You are in Italy with food and wine and views. Poco a poco.
You got lemons and are making limoncello😅
Buon per te.
Testing. I don’t see my last comment, so this is a test
This too shall soon pass, if one must have covid, Italy is not a bad place to have it. Saving $$$ from not eating out means more $$$ for good Italian wine. I love the light streaming in your chair photo! Love from Tally!
Just wanted to say that the roof shots are very creative and a new way of looking at the world. I know it must be hard to be feeling well and yet still have to isolate. I hope you both get a better test result very soon.
It looks like you are making the best of things. I like your reading corner, and what a great photo of the roof detail. Hoping you both test negative soon!
Yes, the fainter line does seem to indicate less virus detected. You’re almost there! I also loved AfterLife, it was at times so charming, and yet unafraid to Go There.
