Not the best
Ken woke up in the night with bad vertigo, which continued through the day. I went for coffee in the morning with Elisa and he stayed in.
Zipping through the streets with her was really a joy. She walks faster than me, which is a treat. We stopped for her to show me where her daughter is living, near Bar Tiziano. She wanted to go to Rosa Salva in Rialto but it was closed so we went to another Rosa Salva, in San Marco. We had a fun conversation about baking and about parenting adult children, but I was concerned about Ken so we zipped back home. He was doing better but never got quite well enough to go out. And, I don’t know if it was sympathy or what, but I felt nauseous all afternoon too. I watched Padma Lakshmi’s new show, America’s Culinary Cup. I like it!
Elisa and Pietro knocked on our door with a bag of Sardinian Fregula for us to cook to ease the nausea. It’s like cous cous, bland and simple. We loved it with just some olive oil.
So I’ve decided to post some of the photos I have in a file that haven’t quite fit into this narrative. Here you go:
Lilies in their glory
That’s enough for today. Sorry about the lack of news.

Hope you both feel better. I also like Americas Culinary Cup. Sounds like you made the best of your day.
Has Ken tried the Epley maneuver to mitigate the vertigo? You can Google it.
I hope Ken is feeling better. For me I sometimes get vertigo when I have hayfever. A neti pot and decongestants can help.
I can sympathize with the vertigo. I get that sometimes and it is miserable. I have to go to an ENT to have the maneuver done to reposition the crystal thing. No fun! Hope Ken’s repositions on its own!
Vertigo is awful. I hope it passes quickly! Keep us posted.
